These things were a living nightmare. This one was really big. Like a bedbug on steroids. No one believed me when I told them how big it was. This was back in 2008 in Montreal in a neighborhood in which I lived. Fortunately there weren't that many of them.

Thank you for sharing your story. You probably saw a bed bug after feeding. As indicated in the picture, an adult bed bug before feeding is 4-5 mm (1/4-3/8"). After feeding the bed bug will become larger.
