You won't believe this!

I'm the lady who commented on bedbug bites a month ago-- (My husband and I stayed at a motel that we've stayed at for 7 years in Boston).
Well,I contacted the Watertown Health Department and they they did an extermination on several rooms where they found bedbugs, including the room we were in.

We decided to return to the same Motel, different room,figuring it would now be safe. I even brought my own bedbug spray and asked the motel staff to put special covers on the mattresses.

You guessed it, I got bitten again. Not as badly as before. I had over 50 bites the first time.
this time I got about 12 very big weepy, itchy, welts. Not a pleasant experience.

I will contact the Health Dept. again and see what happens. Won't sleep well at motel for awhile.

Especially the Motel 8!

Sorry to hear about your continued problems at this motel. It shows that the need for a motel to stay on top of a bedbug problem.

One product that might help when you travel is a new natural Bed Bug Repellent Spray. It can be sprayed on the skin and the manufacturer claims it is 98% effective. I haven't seen any independent studies on the product yet, so let me know if you try it.

I'd also treat your luggage before leaving home with a product like JT Eaton Luggage and Mattress Spray.

Let us know after you complain again.

Dear Editor,

I appreciate your information about who to call for monetary compensation from Motel 8.

Actually, I was more interested in who to contact about clearing up the bedbug problem. The good news is, I got the telephone number to call--for the Watertown Health Department-- from your website.

They were very helpful and assured me that they would follow up on my complaint. I filed a "formal" complaint and expect to hear about the results, as soon as they are available.
Thanks again. Your website has been very informational and "stress" reducing! I never thought this would happen to me!

Thanks again. Now I just hope the motel follows through on their part!
