I have been living with these bugs for the past year. They are impossible to get rid of and very annoying. I will be on my third mattress issued by the YWCA in regina, sk. This time the bugs were coming out of a hole in a brand new mattress. I keep my clothes in plastic bags. When I wash my clothes I transfer them to a clean bag. Whatever these bugs are they fly around in the air and they are tiny and black. I sprayed my room with vinegar and water and they fell out of the air on my yellow sheets. I think these bugs are coming out of the vents in the building. I seldom leave the building. I figure I will have to live with this for the rest of my life. My room has been fumigated twice by Poulins in regina and they still come back. Have a nice day..
Editor Note
Hi Julie,
Sorry to hear about your problem. Bed bugs do not fly or jump, so your problem is caused by another type of insect such as small flies.
Bed bugs in new mattresses happen when they are stored or transported in trucks or kept in rooms that are infested. One tip is to wear tight fitting clothes to bed as bed bugs will not bite under clothes or socks.
Best of Luck.

Bed Bug Bites by: Anonymous
If the bed bug bites don't heal in 2 to 5 days, then you should see a Doctor. You should also see a Doctor if you notice any puss or infection developing. This requires a stronger antibiotic ointment or oral antibiotic.
